Impress Division: Shining at Milan Design Week, Ushering in New Trends of Decorative Patterns

The 2026 Milan Design Week ran from April 20 to 26. Impress, a joint venture brand under HONSOAR, presented its latest trendy decorative patterns developed by the European R&D Center. HONSOAR’s core team traveled to Europe to conduct in-depth exchanges with designers at Impress headquarters, aligning with cutting-edge design concepts and bringing world-class decorative patterns to China’s home furnishing market.As a global design bellwether, Milan Design Week sets the annual home furnishing trends and serves as a key cradle for high-end surface finish styles. Founded in Germany in 1928, Impress ranks among the world’s top three decorative paper manufacturers alongside Schattdecor and IP. With R&D centers in Milan and two other locations, it is a regular key participant of the design week. Under the theme Embrace Nature, Revitalize Textures, Impress unveiled its debut patterns for 2026, including three major collections: natural wood grains, minimalist solid colors and artistic textures, which perfectly echo the mainstream trends of this year’s event.During the event, the HONSOAR team accompanied key clients to tour Impress’ production plant in Spain to witness its comprehensive strength. The group also visited the Impress exhibition hall in Milan to select patterns together, and exchanged views on trend development, R&D philosophy and the integration of Eastern and Western aesthetics. European designers shared the inspiration behind the patterns. Both sides focused on local adaption, confirmed a number of flagship patterns and secondary R&D plans, bringing the premium Milan design aesthetics to the Chinese market.This trip to Milan demonstrates the robust global design collaboration between the two parties and marks a vital step to deepen international cooperation. Going forward, leveraging Impress’ global design network, HONSOAR will build an efficient R&D system and launch more than 150 original decorative patterns every year, empowering the upgrading of China’s home furnishing industry with an international vision.
